Yeah, my view changed a lot after that post even before last night. As I looked deeper into the matchup I saw the Knicks had beaten the Spurs 2 of 3 this season. Also saw after 2/1 only two teams beat San Antonio and the Knicks were one of them. The Spurs may be too young to beat the experienced Knicks in this series. Spurs definitely more talented but they are so young.

The Spurs led the Knicks 20-16 with 5 minutes left in the first quarter.

Spurs led by 9 at 34-25 at the end of the 1st quarter.

This game is crazy physical.

39-32 Spurs with 921 in the second. 

44-39 Spurs midway through the 2nd quarter.

The Knicks outscore the Spurs 17-8 the rest of the 2nd quarter and once again lead the Spurs 56-52 at the half.

The Knicks are pulling away and now lead by 10 at 64-54 just under 3 minutes into the 2nd half.

The last two minutes of that first half the Knicks won this game and maybe the whole series. They completely demoralized the Spurs. The Spurs and Wemby looked completely lost and had no energy at the end of that first half.

What the Spurs need to do is put Wemby on the low block, throw him the ball and play good old inside out basketball. The Knicks completely own the paint on both ends of the floor.

The Knicks extend their halftime lead of 4 to now 9 at 84-75. A Spurs lost here would probably eliminate any shot of coming back to win 4 of the next 6.

Midway through the 4th quarter the Knicks have extended their lead to 14 at 97-83 with 6 minutes to play.

Since this the Spurs have gone on a 14-0 run to tie it now at 97with 2:36 to play.

The Spurs have taken their first lead of the 2nd half as Wemby goes for a and 1 and they led the Knicks 104-102 with :50 seconds to play.
