Its the exact same people and it wasn't even AAU games. It was REC games up at Sports Of All Sorts. 

I have been a basketball parent at Grant County for a few years now. I didn't have the pleasure of witnessing Coach Jones play at GCHS, but the record books show he was quite the player. I have had the pleasure of having multiple kids play for him for multiple years. I have never had 1 issue with him or his coaching style. My kid is absolutely one of the "favored" kids. He lifts/trains/attends open gyms multiple times a day every day. Hard to believe a coach would put trust in a player like that right? that's not saying anything about any other players on the team.  Just my kid. 

We surprised a lot of people last season. But we knew 25/26 and 26/27 were going to be strong years. The unfortunate events that took place in the tournament last season were very disappointing.  It robbed kids/coaches from getting to play on a bigger stage. We are hoping to finish stronger next season. 

There are 2 sides to every story. From my experience, Coach Jones is a great person and has been a wonderful mentor for my sons. He comes from a great family and he is being put through hell because a few parents are upset. You would have to hear their side I am sure. I can tell you this....I've got basketball players from highschool level and down. I hope and pray they have the privilege of playing under Coach Jones.

He may have started a few games but typically came off the bench. He did a lot of things that the stats may not show. He will be missed. HELL OF A BASEBALL PLAYER!

Great post.  I believe that last few coaches that have come and gone at Grant County had parent issues.  Jones is homegrown and has great pride in that school.  If he can't please the parents there, not sure who could.

There were people who complained about Ron Kinmon, there were people who complained about Joe Utter, people who complained about Jim Hicks, there were people who complained about Brandon Grammer, there were people who complained about Joe Utter the second time, and there are people complaining about Tyler Jones. I’m telling you guys, Grant County is kind of a weird place.
 

We could throw in Mike Davis, David Arvin, Kevin Siple, couple of soccer coaches that I forget their names, and the list goes on and on. I don’t think anyone ever complained about Shawn West. But I was coming out of the loop when he came into his position.

Ok, some people complained about Rupp, Hall, Sutton, Gillispie, Pitino, and so forth.  Does this also make Lexington and the Commonwealth weird?

 Lol…. I bleed blue, but how would the rest of the country react to that question?

I think that applies to 95% of HS coaches today.

Think of it like this, assuming the Facebook video is true, a parent in Grant County actually paid money to have this yard sign created and then posted this yard sign in their yard that appears to be right along a busy road. This doesn’t seem weird to you?

Not sure there is any validity to this. Seems like one parent gone rogue. 

There were many many of these signs made. I'm guessing hundreds. The Facebook post was made a few days ago. Monday night the signs were put up all over the county. 

This parent needs to get a life. Good grief! 

This reeks of a parent who thinks they can coach much better than the actual coach just because they coached some AAU ball. Takes a lot to be a varsity coach, it isn’t just rolling the ball out and playing.

So can we all agree that that is a little weird? Meaning, you don't see that very often. 

For some reason, many parents at Grant County cannot seem to get out of their own way.  

That team last year was solid and much better than people anticipated.  Parents threw a wrench in it just before the district.  Total implosion!

Now, with possibly the most talent in the district this happens.  

The parents there seem to destroy anything good with that program.  

Pure crazy!!
