Barren was up on Logan county in a scrimmage last night 31-6 at the half. Totally dominated the line of scrimmage.

I have even more faith in Barren after seeing the way they handled Logan Co in their scrimmage.

I think Woodford Co. and Scott County are the teams to beat in 5A. Owensboro will get better as Walker settles in at running back and the OL gels better in pass protection. I think the Red Devils start the season 0-2 again then go on a run.

And I watched film of Barren Co. last year against Bowling Green and Apollo. I liked them running the Wing T. I think BG goes to Barren this year.

Call me overly optimistic. The Red Devils have enough depth and talent this year to be very competitive with both St. X and CAL. I say we take 1 of the 2 down, my guess would be St. X.

Yeah they are not going to be towards the top or anything but I think 6-4 is likely and then they have BG, Greenwood, Macon Co Tennessee and Glasgow if they could pull off 1 maybe 2 of those it would be a pretty successful season I just hope it’s not Glasgow haha.

I was very impressed with Barren’s D-Line last year when they played Apollo. Is their big nose tackle back? He might have been one of the best DTs Apollo faced all year, IMO.

I would never sleep on St. X. I have Owensboro starting 0-2

That very well maybe the case. I wouldn’t sleep on the Devils this year either. I like having both of the schools on the schedule, it shows O what they need to work on early. As shown last year losing these games won’t dictate whether or not O wins 5A.
