February 12, 200719 yr Ok, I'm kind of new on here, so I'm about ready to make my opening "splash". I've been around the game of basketball for a long time and I know a lot about the game. I will go on paper today (and I'm sure I will get hammered for saying this) as saying that this UK team has all the ingredients to make a run to the Final Four this season. Without knowing their seed, potential oppenents, and any other uncontrollable factors, I would put the Cats in the Final Four on my bracket if the tourney started this week. Feel free to use and abuse (some support from the Cats true fans would be appreciated, as well :ylsuper: ) Go Cats!!!

You joined a great website. 2) Do not take it personally if you receive a lot of :lol: or :confused: or "18%" responses to your post, it is all in fun. 3) UK has as good of a shot as many teams; there have been teams equal to them or worse in recent memory that have made the Final Four... and with regular consistency.

Morris only plays when he wants. Crawford could go for 30 or for 5 and Perry will be lucky to get 10 a game. They are all inconsistent and unless that changes it will have to be a prefect situation.

They have good defense, a good big man, good guard play, a decently deep bench, a good coach, and tradition. If they go into the tourney with a little confidence and then get a little luck, anything can happen.
February 12, 200719 yr 3) There are generally 4-5 factors that create a great championship team and UK has most of those this season UK can defend, rebound, and have an post presence (that sometimes does not show up) but normally does in big games. On the negative side, UK has spotty PG play, and a non-complimentary post presence.

I was talking to a buddy of mine, who's also on the site, about this yesterday. UK would have to win a game in which they play/shoot poorly for this to happen but I definitely think it could.

February 12, 200719 yr The biggest factor is they don't have the talent. Perry and Thomas at the 4. Another PG who can't shoot, another who can't dribble, and Crawford who never met a shot he didn't like.
