@ApolloFan98 I also think in the GC/DC game that Acton's foul trouble certainly hurt DC. It was an amazing game and the atmosphere was electric. I thought Coach Johnston, almost blew it by attempting to take the air out of the ball with about 6 minutes to go in the game. GC was up 11/13 at that point and when he did that GC lost focus, and DC made a tremendous come back to tie the game only to Jagger Mardis crush their dreams with a 3 at the buzzer. Great game!

I thought it was a good idea to do split sessions.  Grayson and Daviess could possibly sell the venue out, on their own.  Would have been tough to get Meade and Apollo fans in there with that crowd.  Should be less of a log jam for everyone.

Last note, Congrats to Coach Ryne Tinsley and Apollo.  That program was at rock bottom when Tinsley took that job.  Hats off to the staff and kids for bringing it back to where it belongs.  It's been 8 years since Apollo had a 20 game winner and a team playing for a shot at the regional championship.  Love to see it!

I was looking forward to a possible DC vs. Apollo game. The Sportscenter would of been PACKED!!!

Probably not as long ago as all the outlying counties would try to convince you every year when they cry that the tournament should be held elsewhere.

I think 3 or 4 years ago Muhlenberg and McLean played in the championship.  I could be mistaken on that but it seems to ring a bell.
 

Congrats to Grayson, hopefully they can get this region a win at state because I know that has been a long time since it happened.

Congrats to Grayson County.  They have a special group of kids that really came together in the back half of the season.  They certainly have the makeup to make a run at Rupp.  If they are knocking down shots, the can beat anyone.  The last time Grayson County went to state was 2009.  Coach Travis Johnston was a player on that team.  Pretty cool full circle moment.

2022 was the last and only time, besides this year, a team from the 9th district wasn't in the regional final since it has been at the Sportscenter. '23, '20, '18 had an all 9th district final in the regional championship.
