Glad you made the game....sorry I missed you...so crowded I couldn't find you.:cry: You are right this one could have gone either way. Agree on the officiating..spotty...both ways. and really didn't effect the game. One of the best games I have seen all year.

Next game for the Cards is Lexington Catholic at home on Tuesday.

 

Man - that's a tough "bounce back" game. Tip the hat to Coach Humphrey for making the schedule tough enough to prepare the team for March.

Huge crowd Lots of scouts, Va Commonwealth, Florida and Georgia. Great game. Not worried about the loss as I stated eariler...we just have some work to do. Take care of business and hope for a good draw in the region...

 

Does anyone else think it's pitiful that Florida travels to KY today and THEY are the ones smart enough to come watch these two very talented prospects. Where is UK? It's a shame how little the UK staff actually gets out and watches the talent right here in the Bluegrass. I'm sure there are some local kids who would shoot better than 2/19 or whatever UK was from the 3pt line tonight.

 

Back to the game. I thought Clark had a good chance in this one. I got to listen to the first half and it sounded like Middleton from Mason was off to a pretty good start. Mason has to have him to make it to the promised land.

Clark was up 10 at half and Knowles scored just about every time he touched it in the 2nd quarter.

Both these teams need to watch out for Bishop Brossert, but it would be great to see this re-match in the region finals.

This was a good game. I was really impressed with Knowles in the first half (17 points). He is a very quick guard with a good shooting touch, and had a beautiful breakaway slam late in the first half. Mason, however, did a great defensive job on him, and the rest of the Cardinals for that matter, in the 2nd half. Clark scored 40 points in the first half, but only 14 in the second.

Big crowd and great basketball enviroment today at GRC. Mason's fans travel well, that's for sure. I watched the game with goldsunrise and her husband and son. They're wonderful people.

I'm not sure if you all watched the same game that I did but Darius Miller dominated this game. 26 pts and 14 boards? Preston did have 23 but he did not come through when his team needed him. Darius is best player in the region and is one of the best in the state. Miller deserves to be recognized, not just Preston.

:confused: Went back and reread the whole thread...not sure where you are coming from. They are both great players. I personally respect what both brings to their teams and enjoy watching both young men play. To get on a public board and put one player down does not make the other one look better..IMO. I support both of these young athletes and wish them both the best in the future.:thumb:

If they put two halves together like the first, they win this game by double digits. I'm not saying they are that much better than Mason but I can guarantee that the 2nd half was one of the if not the lowest scoring halves of the season. Looking forward to a great rematch in a few weeks.

Unreal,Bottom line is the Royals come to YOUR house and held you to 14 2nd half points and come from 12 down on the ROAD to beat the cards by 8.

What's unreal about it? I'm saying the better team won the game and Mason made the plays to come out on top, especiallly Browning? I think, he hit two tough shots in the lane that looked like there was no shot of them going in. I'm just saying the 2nd half wasn't very well, you could give some credit to Mason for stepping up their D, which they did, but 14 points in a half is not very good. I think Mason started the half off with like a 17-3 run.
