Mason Co. 62 Clark Co. 54

Mason Co. improves to 20-2

Clark Co. falls to 19-5

Clark Co. scored the first 2 points of the 2nd half, went up by 12 and fell apart after that. Knowles had an amazing 2nd quarter, wasn't a factor aside from that. The Royals had a great 1st and 3rd quarters. Struggled in the 2nd and 4th. Had enough to get the win. Will be interesting to see how it plays out if there is a rematch in a few weeks.

Royals show why they are the number one team in the region.

I am going to go out on a limb here and make Clark Co. my pick to take the 10th Region Tourny. Maybe not a big stretch but I believe they have the players that can do it as long as a few key players keep their heads on straight on and off the court between now and tourny time.

Well anything can happen, so there is no way you can say someone has NO SHOT. But Clark Co had the Royals down on their floor and couldn't put them away, it's going to be even tougher at the Fieldhouse. That's not to say it can't happen not to mention that the Mustangs may have a say so in all of it. I don't like Clark's chances in a few weeks.

I am very surprised this game was that close. I still thank Mason is a huge favorite in the 10th, especially playing at home.

The Mustang's definately have the opportunity to spoil some hopes down the stretch. I know all the coaches in the region realize their potential but I think it will be tough to keep the players focused enough not to look past Brossart.

How many did Knowles & Miller have ?

I think both ended up with around 25. Knowles had 17 or so in the 2nd quarter alone.

Congrats to the Royals!

Huge crowd Lots of scouts, Va Commonwealth, Florida and Georgia. Great game. Not worried about the loss as I stated eariler...we just have some work to do. Take care of business and hope for a good draw in the region...:D

Mason finds a way to win after being down 10 at halftime. Knowles exploded for 17 in the 2nd quarter (most while Tyreese Scott, who guarded Knowles for most of the first half, took a breather).

Reminiscent of the second quarter of the Brossart/Mason game, Mason shut the Cardinals down after halftime; giving up 5 in the 3rd quarter and 9 in the 4th. Royals did have a couple things go their way down the stretch; Tony Browning muscled up a couple of shots in the paint that fell; Knowles missed two front ends. Turn those events around and it could have been a different story. Officiating very spotty, but didn't affect the outcome.

Thanks to GS for the spot-on directions! Sorry we missed you; maybe in the Fieldhouse in a few weeks.:thumb:

Who was Florida and Georgia looking at? Miller or Knowles / both?

Glad you made the game....sorry I missed you...so crowded I couldn't find you. You are right this one could have gone either way. Agree on the officiating..spotty...both ways. and really didn't effect the game. One of the best games I have seen all year.

Next game for the Cards is Lexington Catholic at home on Tuesday.

Both.
