I heard that Greenup County is, once again, going to play Raceland in 2027.  Good move by them, if for no other reason, for the gate money that game generates.  I assume they will replace PRP or Mercer County. 

Haven't heard if the Russell/Raceland game will be rejuvenated in 2027 or not.  Again, big gate money. 

Raceland/Russell should be played if for no other reason than economic.  Less travel and gate revenue.

If Greenup/Raceland is indeed back on, that will only benefit the Musketeers in the long run. Russell needs to follow suit and embrace the challenge instead of running from it. 

The Rams are kings of the county until someone snatches the crown from their head. It's hard to do that when you're always maintaining a safe distance.

I completely agree. Just look at Raceland's schedule this year-- it is completely possible they lose some games, but still get in tip-top shape for a state championship run due to the experience. Playing tough competition instead of chasing easy Ws is how you earn confidence in the postseason.

Very nice. I didn't watch it all but that first five minutes that shows the field house and gives a quick history of Raceland football was excellent. That field house is as good as it gets. For others reading this, it is worth a few minutes to look at that fieldhouse.
