?? Covington Catholic bounces back from Friday's loss at Highlands with a 72-14 win over Holmes.

The Colonels will face Simon Kenton in Sunday's 4:45 quarterfinal at Highlands.

CCH edged out SK last month in Park Hills, 43-40.

Highlands defeated Newport by 2 in game one of the day.

I know Highlands beat Newport 58-56 and Cov Cath beat Holmes 72-14. It appears from Simon Kenton Basketball's Twitter account that they played Bellevue instead of Dayton in the JV Tournament and won 54-20.
 

 

That is correct.  SK beat Bellevue.  Per my schedule, Campbell plays at Holy Cross on 2/4.

It makes sense for Campbell Co. and Holy Cross to use their upcoming game at The Finn to knock out their quarterfinal for the upper bracket next Wednesday.

The other six teams have already met on the Varsity level this season. The good news is that everyone has about three weeks to get together before the February 14 semifinals at Cov Cath.

Holy Cross beat Campbell Co earlier this week. The Indians will advance to the final four to face I believe the winner of Conner/St. Henry.
