Montgomery County hired Chris O’Hearn as its coach to replace Jason Mays. I was also told that ex Mason Co. and Tennessee star Chris Lofton will be an assistant coach. Very interesting. Also all the staff that was with Mays have been removed as well.

FYI everyone:

Chris Lofton works with the Tennessee Radio Network.  I doubt he is coaching.  

I was curious as well about Lofton. 

The staff that Mays had is also still in place as of now. 

Chris O’Hearn has also not officially been hired.  I’m not sure if he has been offered it yet either.  

Got to see Chris tonight at Steve Ullery's visitation. We go back to 1996. Awful good man and coach. Dang good football coach also. 

He was our head freshman football coach. Freshman game, we had a kid break his leg, about 30 seconds before end of half. Fred Hester, AD, asks if he wants to call it halftime. Chris says, no, we are getting ready to score. Sure enough, trick play, scored right before the half. 

Maysville is a great town, wonderful people. 

Told they offered O’Hearn but he has declined. 

Chris O’Hearn offered and turned down the Montgomery County job.
