  • Paducah all day long, let's do this BIG BLUE, continue to represent far west kentucky on into the state championship game.

  • Paducah HAS to start fast. PT cannot afford a start like last week vs Logan County or it will be lights out.    I still feel like this PT team still has another gear or two they can get to that

  • I looked over FC's numbers and somehow missed all of that. ? I'll blame it on the tryptophan. I amend my statement to say that I expect splash plays and special teams to play a huge role in

The poll is currently 33-31 FC.

I don't know who to pick in this game, I think it is close.

Like wise.  Thinking the difference may be Franklin County playing at home.

That and I may give Franklin County an edge in coaching but Tilghman an edge in talent.

I was there this morning always a privilege to get to enjoy a Thanksgiving Day practice!

Both teams excel at turning their opponents over, so expect the cooler head to prevail here.

I'm favoring Tilghman because no one is better at scoring in unconventional ways - defense and special teams - than they are. The Tornado have found the endzone fourteen times this season via kick returns, pick-sixes, and fumble recoveries. Those opportunities will present themselves against Franklin County. I like Tilghman's chances of cashing in on one of them.

In a game of this magnitude, that one play can swing the outcome one way or the other.

Interesting take. According to the KHSAA site FC has…

4 INT return TDs

1 Fumble return TDs

6 Punt return TDs and

5 Kickoff return TDs

That’s a total of 16 for the Flyers so to say nobody does it better doesn’t necessarily track.

I amend my statement to say that I expect splash plays and special teams to play a huge role in the outcome, but it could just as easily benefit either team.

Still leaning Tilghman, though.

not the same Tilghman team as last year, sure not the same defense for Franklin!

Several great observations in this thread and I don't have a strong feeling either way but I did vote Tilghman to bring the poll to 35-35.

Same for me.

35-35 even split in the poll, someone break this tie.

I feel this is very accurate. Obviously I'm going for Tilghman, but if I'm on the Franklin side, I can see how they justify winning this as well. All indications are that this will be very close. Tilghman having to spend a long day traveling today and doing all the other necessary things has to give Franklin a little boost in confidence beyond what's already there.

PT intercepts. Own 41 after the turnover on Franklin's 1st possession.
