I don't think we'll be cruising up to the top 10 with only 14, no matter how good they are.
February 7, 200719 yr UK added 3-star Lanxter and the Mustaafa kid from Georgia, who had not been factored into previous rankings. UL also hasn't confirmed the signing of 4-star Peake, which would jump them if he does sign

February 7, 200719 yr Author UL has a grand total of 14 recruits signing. I don't think we'll be cruising up to the top 10 with only 14, no matter how good they are. I don't think the numbers matter, e.g. USC only has 17 but is ranked #1. UCLA has 11 but they are ranked #20. Something's not right with these ESPN Rankings.
February 7, 200719 yr It is in fact correct, UK is signing TWENTY- SIX players this year...That will be a HUGE asset to the team...You will find some great talent out of those 26 players.
February 7, 200719 yr It is in fact correct, UK is signing TWENTY- SIX players this year...That will be a HUGE asset to the team...You will find some great talent out of those 26 players.Maybe, but it's not a sure fire thing. There will have to be some diamond in the rough players for there to truly be 'great' players in that class for UK.
February 7, 200719 yr Peake wasn't signed when those came out, and I can't look at the list to tell you what else might have affected it.
February 7, 200719 yr It shows UL with 17 and UK with 25...That could be the reason UK is a little higher, but, like others have pointed out, theres others out there with that many or less and are coming in alot higher..Or, it could just be that UK has a better overall incoming class..They don't seem to have alot of the 4 and 5 star caliber players but still some high quality recruits that can come in and make a difference early...
February 7, 200719 yr Virginia was listed as 28 or something, I know they were listed in the middle of the pack in the ACC. Yet another 7-5 or 6-6 season on the horizon, PAPAJOHNS.COM BOWL HERE WE COME! lol
February 7, 200719 yr I guess its calculated differently but Rivals has UofL at #42 and UK at #53. The good news is that these two get to prove it on the field every year.:thumb:
February 8, 200719 yr Something's not right with these ESPN Rankings. I'll say. I just got the link to work. Many, many questions about this list. The one that pops out first is Florida Atlantic listed as the #8 class in the country??? I know Howard can work magic, but #8 overall with a total of 3 commits???

February 8, 200719 yr UL 42...UK 54 UK had more recruits, thus they get some credit...U of L has their highest average star rating ever...only had a few to give though...their best class ever.
