Terry Rozier was arrested by the FBI as part of an Sports Gambling Probe focused on the NBA.

Looks like this may be centered on fixing of his own personal stats and suspicious betting on his stats. Guessing he hit the Under a lot on those days.

Billups' arrest is related to mafia poker. 

Although, Billups was fighting hard to preserve the Blazers' half-point cover last night ?

Looks like 30 people or so, have been arrested. It all revolves around mafia led illegal poker games in and around NY and inside knowledge of when players would sit out or take themselves out of games.

Bunch of criminals... 

The sports gambling investigation is called "Operation Nothing But Net," while the poker investigation is called "Operation Royal Flush."

The FBI really needs to hire a marketing consultant. These names always crack me up.

They are saying the poker games were fixed, with x-ray tables being used to read cards, hidden cameras, special contact lenses to read in marks on cards and rigged shuffle machines. 

Players were used as "bait" to attract other high dollar players to the game whom were the targets of the rigged games it sounds like.

Rozier is accused of telling someone to bet the under on his point production, because he was going to fake and injury or illness and barely play in the game. That person then bet $200,000 on Rozier not hitting the line set for his points for the night. 

The thing Rozier is accused of, I'd say happens quite often between players and people in their circle of friends.

The mafia/card playing stuff doesn't excite me too much but anything that undermines the integrity of sporting contests is huge to me, throw "The Book" at them!

Could be part of a bigger picture.  Maybe (not saying yes or no) a Chauncey Billups could feed insider info to a circle of wise guy friend in exchange for a piece of the house poker winnings. 

With the Jontay Porter suspension, Malik Beasley investigation, and now this, the consensus is that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

A player and coach arrested for possible stats (prop bets) fixing and mafia backed illegal gambling rings, while still trying to escape a crooked ref scandal from years ago.   I'd say the NBA is probably calling the worlds top damage control firms and pleading (pun intended) for some salvation.

From now and into the foreseeable future, every turnover, missed free-throw, and tweaked hammy is going to be met with massive skepticism.
