Biggest thing I'd like to see in this game is the Ads hang around.  They don't have the weapons LCA has but I just want to see a good amount of fight.  I'm sure they will have that on Friday night.

  • I get the administration at Danville was the reason for the Ads sports programs falling off a cliff, but the job Stonebreaker has done is phenomenal. Losing 20 games in a row to 7-1 is insane. I took

I am ready for a good look at the Ads.

Me too! The Ads becoming relevant again only makes 2A better!

I personally think this will be a better game than most are saying.  Ads have talent and Stonebreaker is "COY" candidate.

I have mixed feelings there.  On one hand I think it may be competitive but on the other hand LCA is super talented and a very good football team.

If the Ads have a glaring weakness, at least offensively, it is that they still need to develop some more weapons.  They lean a lot on Meaux and Sellers for yards.  I can imagine LCA is going to stack the box and force the Ads freshman QB Cruver to throw more and beat them that way.

The Lincoln game showed that the Ads defense also has a ways to go when it comes to the play by various corners.  However, I do think the Ads have shown some improvement here since that close loss.

LCA is above the Ads on both sides of the ball IMO and I'm not afraid to admit that as a fan we are underdogs tonight but hey, if the Ads get a few big plays, which they are more than capable of doing because all you need is to give Sellers or Meaux too much space, or the defense forces a few turnovers this could be an entertaining fight.

I’m definitely in the consensus in that I really hope the Ads can make a game out of this but I just don’t see it happening. I’m guessing LCA will dominate in the trenches and have a much larger plethora of solid players than does Danville. I think this one will be a running clock. I’ll go 52-14 LCA.

Danville went for it on 4th and didn't get it, LCA ball on the Ad 39, 0-0.

LCA stuffing Meaux early, twice on a 3rd & 1 and 4th & 1.  LCA gets the ball on the Danville 39 after that but I can't disagree with Stonebreaker just pushing the envelope in a game like this.

LCA to the 5 on a run, barely touched.

LCA up 7-0 after an 11 yard TD on 3rd down after nearly fumbling it away.

As noted earlier, LCA clueing in on Meaux and the Ads secondary has holes.

Great job by Cruver keeping a play alive with his legs and makes a 30+ yard completion to Sellers to the Ads 44.  If the Ads had to punt there it would've been a big setback.

GREAT playcall as Danville as Meaux is handed the ball and then bombs it to Sellers to get the Ads down to the LCA 5 yard line.

Ads can't punch it in on four plays, although their last one is ruled a catch at the one yard line so that's where LCA starts their second drive.

2:54 to go in the first quarter.

I wish the Ads would have scored there.  I don't think Danville is going to be able to stop LCA.
