Class 3A
1. Christian Academy-Louisville
2. Lexington Catholic
3. Bell County
4. Murray
5. Bardstown
6. Central
7. Glasgow
8. Lawrence County
9. Rockcastle County
10. Lloyd Memorial

Same as last week with Glasgow and Rockcastle switching places.

I think top two are on a different level and everyone else it's about matchups, hot streaks, and injury prevention deep into the playoffs. Central seems to be heading in the right direction also. I think the depth in this class is a little unappreciated across the state.

It certainly may be.  With so much attention on CAL at the top, and LexCath to a lesser extent, it is understandable.

I'm with you. The parts of the bracket that don't include CAL and Catholic should make for some exciting postseason games.

Is anyone else a little Confused by Lexington Catholic. Outside of Boyle Co. they have not been dominant. Lost to Ballard who’s good but certainly not great. And in their other two wins they won but was definitely not dominant to two teams that don’t appear to be all that. It seems we’ve seen two different teams the team that beat Boyle that would make you think maybe they could beat Cal on a given night. And then the team in the other three games that you would think could lose to several of the higher ranked teams in 3A.

CAL clears 3A, not really up for debate.

Bardstown has a key game this Friday against Owensboro Catholic, I’m not sure they win that one. Thought when Coach Clark stepped down and now having moved away they’d have a fall off, still a good team but I’m not sure I’d have them at #5.

Central will always be competitive in the class come November, I’ve seen it too many times.

Glasgow will finish the season 10-0, they have some talent on their roster. Should be a final four type of team when it’s all said and done.

I think we think their ceiling is the highest. We'll see after this week when they play LCA and Bardstown later in the season. I think beating Boyle is a feat in itself and should have some notoriety more so than the other teams on the list in 3A. Murray hasn't played anyone yet, Bardstown plays OCath this week, Bell played a really good Campbellsville team week 1, Central will always be a contender, I have no issues with Lexington Catholic at 2. Losing to Ballard in a season opener with a new head coach and a late hire at that, shouldn't be the hang up in my opinion.

Oh I have no problem with them being number 2 they definitely have the best win of anyone in 3A. I just don’t know what to think of them to be honest. I just wondered if anyone else was confused by their scores to this point.

I've said before that I would reserve judgment on Bardstown until after the OCath game.  If they are very competetive the spot may be earned even if they don't prevail.

Any reason Lloyd cannot move up?

I don’t know because I don’t make these rankings but I’m sure the schedule has a lot to do with it. I think the win over NCC was good at the time but 4 games in they have not been good so it’s not as impressive as originally thought.

With several losses in the top 10 this week that should really shake things up on who comes in and who goes out.
