CovCath 69 Scott 53

Excellent shooting by both of them. I also thought Mike Grimes,Chris Bondick, and Maile played very good games. I was not impressed with Noll or Brown.

That is the strength of CovCath. Bo and TJ are going to play well night in and night out, and you never know which of the above 5 (along with Chris Roll and JD Schmerge) is going to get hot. That is why they are so hard to guard.

What happened tonight was CCHS started pressing and Scott has a hard time taking a dose of their own medicine. Sharp turned the ball over several times and at key times free throws were missed by a few players including Sharp. Carr changed up how he was defending after the second quarter. Once CCHS found that "sweet spot" with the 3's it was a done deal. When Carr put a 5'3' player in for Smith/Norman, he can't compete with CCHS well over 6' team.

I'm going to need an ID to confirm that #22 is actually of high school age.

It is Jordan Adkins, he is a Junior. He has always looked young.

Sharp did make some turnovers and missed a few free throws but it was contributed more to fatigue and teammates not getting into position to help him when he got double teamed. This kid is averaging 30-31 minutes each game and he is going to make mistakes and miss shots sometimes because he gets tired.

If CCH isn't on fire from beyond the arc, does your attitude towards the Listerman family change?

No matter what happened last night, I still would think Coach Listerman and his son are very good coaches. CCH should be counting their lucky stars to have them both.

BTW, Todd Jacobs made a move at the end of the 3rd qtr that 90% of the high school players in America cannot make and finish.

No one defends officials on here more than I do. These guys had an off night.

On the other hand, they did get the call right when Noll slapped the backboard in an attempt to block a Scott shot. Coach Carr was adamant that it should have been basket interference but the boys got it right.

Isn't that an automatic "T"....

He is at least 5'3 1/2 and he was keeping up hit a nice three point shot to stretch the eagles lead. I agree with your assesment on Sharp, this game he seemed to be a step slower than usual and did not play his best.

I agree one the best dribble moves i have seen this year, it was absloutly sick.

Agreed, but tonight he did more of both, and if he is getting double teamed he should be able to find an open man more time than not. Sharp is a great player who had an off night, he will bounce back.

No. Its only a T if it was deemed an intentional act designed to cause the ball to not go in. If it occurs during a valid attempt to block a shot, its nothing.

Thanks, didn't know that....:thumb:

Sharp was double teamed and he couldn't find an open man because his teammates didn't get into the open gaps of the defense.

CCH was 11/14 from 3 in the last 3 quarters.
