Tale of the Tape: 

The Trojans make the move to 5A where they are set to host the Warriors in Week 1. Both teams are coming off region title appearances last season, with Barren County having one of their most successful seasons in school history. This matchup will likely be a ground and pound slugfest so it is likely this game is decided in the trenches. 

Barren returns their leading rusher, Daylan Thomas, who is a very fun back to watch in the Trojans Wing T offense. BC looks to have some consistency in the program for the first time in a long time led, in part, by head coach John Myers. Will they start this season off on the right foot, or can the Warriors steal one on the road? The Warriors are without their leading rusher and receiver from last season, but there are many young men waiting to fill the gaps. Furthermore, coach Mark Payne has returned to call the defense for SW. Coach Payne was the most successful DC in Foley's tenure during his first stint—can he continue that success this season? 

This one should be a close one, who wins and why?

Interesting game here.  Good matchup for each team.  The winner will be feeling great after this one.  The loser will probably be thinking of a missed opportunity.

I’m worried about Barren, I thought originally they might be pretty good this year but after struggling in both scrimmages I think they may struggle this year. And they play an extremely tough schedule.

I think Barren takes a big step back off their dream season. Lost a lot of good players.

BC has lost a fumble and has about 100 yards in penalties.
