? These two have more in common than you might think at first glance. Logan and Hart emerged from the same stock; programs languishing in gridiron poverty before being saved by a change in leadership.

The Cougars have Todd Adler. The Raiders, Chad Griffin. Those two men have built something out of nothing. 

Griffin has led Hart County to a 25-2 record over the last two seasons, resulting in media darling status. They’re easy to get behind. Quarterback Jacob Shoulders (1,485 passing yards and 22 total touchdowns) will serve as the offensive catalyst after the graduation losses of a trio of 1,000 yard rushers. Jake Crump leads the defense after posting 113 tackles and 22.5 TFL last year.

Adler had Logan County on a prosperous run of seven consecutive winning seasons before last year's 4-7 mark. Plans of resuming their winning ways were dealt a blow by the departure of quarterback Ridge Holman, who accounted for over 4,000 passing yards and 41 touchdowns as a sophomore and junior. They'll have to find a way to get the ball into the hands of burgeoning playmaker TySean Thomeczek, a sophomore that had Cougar fans excited for the future as he shared team highs in touchdown receptions (7) and interceptions (3) as a freshman.

This game will fly under the radar amidst the star studded, bowl game heavy slate of Week 1, but the folks in Russellville may find themselves oblivious as they take in what looks like a competitive opening game.

Series History ?: First ever meeting? Riherds record keeping shows the two haven't met since at least 1998.

Tough opener for the Cougars, was very impressed with Jake Crump on the offensive side of the ball against Monroe County in their scrimmage Friday night. The Raiders will get downhill and I’d say that sets up well for Logan County but I don’t know if they’ll be able to match their physicality for 4 quarters.

I’m not sure what to make of this game. Logan looked good in their scrimmage against Barren but then got smoked in their scrimmage with Glasgow. Hart and Monroe played pretty even in their scrimmage but I’m not sure how good Monroe is either. I’m going with Logan if nothing else because they are at home 21-14.

I didn’t think Hart Co looked that good in either scrimmages, they beat Monroe with out there best player in Williams. After seeing Logan play in both scrimmages if Logan plays like they did against Barren then Logan wins, but if they play like they did against Glasgow it will be a long night.

I'm interested in this game but really don't know who to pick.

I'm not sure what to think of Logan County after their two scrimmages, but I know this much, if Hart County doesn't win the game, then I don't see a scenario where they compete for a district title. And I know it's only week one, but Glasgow is going to re-emerge this year in a way that may be too much for the Raiders to continue their streak. We will see how it goes! I know Chad Griffin is a great coach, but you still have to have the Jimmys and Joes.

Who did Hart play in their other scrimmage and was there any kind of score.

Give me Logan county by a touchdown. Yes they got blown out by Glasgow last week, but they still have the size and speed to make it difficult on Hart County.

I think Glasgow's speed vs Logan was too much offensively and defensively. I think Logan may be able to run their screen game vs Hart with more success.
