Here we are! Finally almost game day! Highlands is back in the state tournament for the first time since 2018, while South Warren was here just two years ago, and was bounced in the second round. 

Highlands coming off a large 9th Region victory, besting the Beechwood Tigers 5-2 - where the Birds were firing on all cylinders, and a masterclass by Bluebirds pitching throughout throughout the tournament. All three starting pitchers had CGs, and only 1 earned run by Birds pitching in the tournament. Jake Robinson was the starter in the final, went 7 and only allowed 3 hits and 1 walk. 

South Warren won a close one against Warren East, and continuously it's been three guys offensively who get it done. Griffin Rardin is batting nearly .500, and has 28 XBH. Jaxen Decker has also been good, along with Camden Page. 

This one should be a great game, and if you're not making the trip to KPP, you can catch the 1:30pm first pitch on bluebirdsradio.com . State Time is here!

I enjoy listening to the guys on KHSAA calling games, like yesterday, but today I’ll being tuning in to hear Brennan Bucher on the call for the Birds. He’s progressed so much since he started. Do yourself a favor and listen to him if you’re tuning in to this game.

We are now in a weather delay un Lexington. 

Hearing 2:30 is goal time, but that is not confirmed.

A quick look at the radar shows more storms on the way so I could see it being more like 5pm.

Pitching change by SW, that was quick but I think it is a good choice.
