As a top rated QB and If he was going to come to Lexington the best move would be Sayer to play and learn from Chad Pennington. But we all know if he comes it’ll be Douglas.

If you are a transfer QB, Douglas is not the destination in Lexington.  They have never produced/developed quarterbacks.  Lex Cath, LCA, or as you mentioned, Sayre would be the place to go.

Never have and the offense has never produced in the passing game like many would think. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

Respectfully, I think saying they never produced quarterbacks is an invalid statement.  In their short history, they have had two QBs sign to play D1 football as QBs.  Granted, both eventually transitioned to other positions in college, but they were recruited as QBs.

Sincerely curious why LCA?  I know a few years back they slung it around with Boley & a year or two before that with Nieves, but for the most part, they tend to run the ball more.  Last year they were 70% run & the year before, Boleys senior year, they actually had more yards rushing than passing.

LCA rushing more than passing Boley's senior year was more of a reflection of where the talent on the team was.  Average WR's but had a stud RB.  I believe the evidence is there that coaching of QB's and offensive scheme leans heavily to Lex Cath, Sayre, and LCA over Douglas.

The kid is a top QB. Who better to play for than probably the best QB coach in the state, Justin Haddix? Boyle is loaded with great receivers to throw to. The kid said in the interview that he is a pass first then run QB. He does have great speed and run, escape ability. The kid and his parents have no loyalty or ties to FD. They are not going to be drawn to a situation just because a cousin went to school there. There is not a better place to be during his rehab than spending that time expanding his game under the watchful eye of coach Haddix. Time will tell but Boyle has been in the conversation for a reason.

The “best quarterback coach in the state”? Really? Hmmm.

Haddix had a great high school and college career as a QB.  He is an offensive genius and if you play QB in that system you will have multiple people open on every play.  There are always multiple weapons at skill position for Boyle so not a bad place to play QB.  Boyle's returning QB threw for 30 TD's with 1 INT and completed 77% of his passes and doesn't get talked about a lot but is a really good player.
