I'm thrilled with how it's gone, but I suppose I didn't expect the Purps to control this game in such a decisive way. This has been dominating.

I'm not going to pretend that I thought they'd necessarily blow it out, but like I said yesterday, I've seen Bowling Green in these types of matchups, and they win them.  A team that relies so heavily on the three point shot, playing their second game in 24 hours and third in four days - it's not surprising that they aren't able to hit the shots.

Bowling Green shoots the three better this year than any Purple team I remember, but at their heart, under DG, they are a team that goes to the rim.  Over, and over, and over.  And that's exactly what they're doing right now. And that, your legs don't affect as much.

South Oldham and Bowling Green have never met before.  Bowling Green is honestly starting to feel like a team of destiny.  They trailed much of the district championship against Warren Central, w

Bowling Green wins 73-51, they advance!

Bowling Green cooled off some in the third, but they didn't really need to be what they've been as they're protecting a lead.  They're 20/38 from the field for the game, 7/13 from three, and 3/5 from the line.  South Oldham is nowhere near what they were the past two games, 16/45 from the field, 6/24 from three, and 0/2 from the line.  South Oldham doing OK on the turnovers, with just 7, but they've been totally unable to dig their way out from the early deficit.  And the fourth quarter doesn't seem a likely place for it to happen.

Big difference in Points Per Possession - BG 1.2, OC 0.9 through Q3.

63-42 now as Hurt completes a three point play.  He's up to 24.

South Oldham is 6/30 from behind the arc.  And they're missing them in bunches now as they panic.

66-45 at the media timeout, 2:52 remaining.

Bowling Green is going to advance to play for the state title for a third time.  They are 1-1 in their previous two appearances.

Bowling Green up 70-49 with 1:46 in the game.  Mass substitutions under way for Bowling Green.  Hurt will finish with 26 points, almost certainly will lead all scorers.
