Bad luck to an extent. Some may have not been allowed to come back, and some were looking pretty hard go to prep school. Can draw from that. 

I'm just glad to see they actually put some decent teams on the schedule this year. Will be awfully tough to bring home another 10 win season. Once again interested in seeing how they do once in the playoffs after the showing vs Bowling Green last year.

BG and Cooper will start out ranked ahead of them. Owensboro, Scott County, and Pulaski County are in the mix, too. 

It really comes down to how much quality and depth the Ravens have once you get past the Influx of transfers.

Transfers are nice, but unless one of them is a quarterback or stud RB, Atherton can't be ranked ahead of any of the teams you listed. I'd say they would be a sizeable underdog if they play a non-Louisville team in the 3rd round.

Don’t they have a decent Q? And Garyon can play R, in fact he can be a stud there. He’s a top shelf elite athlete, period….

Their QB might not be “elite”, but I believe he’s going to be a junior & has 2 D1 FCS offers currently.  It will come down to how they are up front b/c they have the skill kids no doubt.

They have a RB, last name Duyze(sp?). He is legit ran 4.48 at Vandy according to Twitter. Their QB is 2027 that transfered after freshman year from Trinity.  Atherton will be in top 3 this year.  

It takes a heck of a lot more than "a few 4-star D-1's" to become an actual contender. I seem to remember a team not that long ago that had 4 or 5 "sure-fire Power 5 starters" that went 5-7 and gave up 60+ in a playoffs loss

The biggest misconception for me in today's game is that those guys are transferring out for a reason...
