Dixie just lost to Lloyd by 7 I was predicting something better than that point differential. Dixie is also pretty good at slowing Lloyd down and playing stall ball. I am going to assume Cov Cath ran them up and down the floor in this one.

For all the talk about the competitiveness of this tournament, all four first round games might be 15 Point plus victories. I mean, both games tonight could be 20 to 25 point victories.

In the other thread a member mentioned the 9th is not very competitive.

Maybe it is just longing for a good game, but I see a path to HC playing Newport in the single digits.  I certainly expect that game could be "a game" heading to the 4th.

I would say the 9th is top heavy. After about the top 5 there is a pretty good drop off. The ones after the top 5 find ways to get it done though and can surprise you on any given night.

I would like too see Lloyd put it on Ryle pretty good. They only beat Dixie by 7. If they struggle with Ryle tonight I wouldn't have the most confidence in them next week vs Newport. I don't think Newport will have any issue with Holy Cross.

Felt pretty stupid for saying this while watching the game. Got my $13 worth just got off that game alone. HC really played the better basketball. Ricardo out coached Snapp all night. Newport had a few better athletes that really made the difference in the last 4 minutes when both teams went to stall ball.
