Dead period started so will definitely know more once they put on the pads and can report back. Stadium looks iffy at best due to all the rain in the spring. I heard 50 days behind schedule. Some new faces up front and need to find out how they are going to replace the production on both sides of the ball due to  graduated Seniors. Cannot wait to see the crowd at the first game in the new stadium. I hope they can get it done before this season ends.

The goal for the new stadium was the Newport game, but as was said before the rain has them hoping for the 1st round of playoffs. It's an exciting time for all the outdoor sports programs that will use the facility. It'll be interesting to see who steps up this year for a team that was literally one play away on offense then on defense from making the semi finals last year.

Any updates how the first day back went?

They don't start until Monday. Lifting at school then practicing at Dayton's O.W. Davis Field. It's awful nice of Dayton to let them do that, being a district foe and all. I have zero info on how they look(ed), hopefully someone closer to the program can start giving us some feedback.

Had to drive up the hill today to view the progress first hand.  Going to be great, but playing on it this year sure seems a long shot.

Hope is to utilize it for practices soon and a playoff game or two should they qualify for home games. It’s a dream come true for any football player for sure, but I’d hope for the soccer and track programs as well.

Should have taken pictures, but the ground does not appear close for leveling and base work.  I have no idea about the timeline of the process, but hope these Thorobreds get the experience of playing on it.
