Have not seen a thread on this for 2025, so here goes.  JV semifinals were this morning at CovCath.  I know Ryle and Highlands are in final 4, but do not know matchups.  Frosh semifinals are later today with Beechwood and Brossart squaring off in game 1 and CovCath and Highlands in game 2.

If I'm not mistaken didn't Highlands sweep this one last year?

I think the JV was CovCath vs Simon Kenton and Ryle vs Highlands? I could be wrong.

Beechwood won the first frosh semi game.

I dropped the ball on getting this thread started this year. Here's an update of the brackets prior to the semifinal games being played today.

Per the Cov Cath stats crew:

- Beechwood beat Bishop Brossart 39-32 in the first semifinal game.

- Highlands beat Cov Cath 40-37 in the second semifinal game.

Freshman championship game will be between Beechwood and Highlands at 7:30pm on Monday, February 17.

JV championship game will be between Cov Cath and Ryle at 6:00pm on Monday, February 17.

If the Freshman Bluebirds can close this tournament out as Champions, they will have gone undefeated in Freshman football & basketball this year with the exception of Ohio opponents (Moeller football, 2 OH basketball teams). Great class ahead for Highlands

Beechwood took the Bluebirds to the wire in the regular season.. Should make for a great game! Best of luck to both teams.

Nothing like putting the curse on them.  Haha.  The football group was not highly thought of just a few short years ago, but showed good things in the fall.  The hoops team benefits from basketball only kids being mixed in with football kids and have had a lot of success to date.

Any all tournament team info? Would like to try and keep up with some of them over the next few years.

Looking at the bracket by @Colonels_Wear_Blue Beechwood 30 and Lloyd 29 in 2OTs had to be a slug fest, 30 pts as the high score in 2OTs
