With Somerset no longer in the district.  They should win the district this year, which should allow them to avoid Beechwood in the first two rounds. 

9/5 game against Estill County is actually in Jackson, not Irvine. 

Breathitt softened up their schedule by not playing Belfry, Johnson Central and Somerset in 2025. They have some really talented underclassmen(several freshman started) coming back, and only graduated a handful of seniors. Could be a good year for them. 

Very watered down schedule means they are looking for wins and not advancing in the playoffs, very disappointing.

I don't agree with this mindset in 2025.  RPI has changes the philosophy of scheduling.  Yes you want to challenge your team...but a loss is a loss in the RPI system.  They key now is scheduling games that challenge you, but that you have a chance of winning.  

Breathitt year in and year out isn't going to beat JC.  Belfry is now in 2A and there is a chance they will play in playoffs...Somerset was moved out of their district.

The RPI is just simply for teams that want to win games and very few of them with that attitude of pleasing RPI will be eliminated soon in the playoffs, play somebody and get your team ready for playoffs because in BC’s situation, they are going to be there anyway because of a weak district.
