I think Somerset Christian could surprise some people.  They had Somerset on the ropes the other night.

Somerset also played a game 3 hrs earlier, but yes the Cougars are better and probably just some depth away from being 2&0 vs County foes.

Wayne beat West Jessamine at Sayre this afternoon (12/23) by 4 or so. I think they led start to finish.

If SCS continues to bring in additions yearly (like last 2) they will be a major player.  They will also barring any huge upset be in the All A finals in a few weeks with the bracket having DCA, Somerset and Danville on the other side.  With Somerset and DCA being the first round game.

To my point above!

On the flip side, I’m really puzzled by West. They got off to a much quicker start than I expected, only to seem to have taken a significant step backwards.

I think the Cougars may have a model to follow for success! And their fanbase and boosters are backing the mission.

What is that model? That’s a 12th region team that I don’t have much familiarity with.

I'm curious about the model as well.

Continuity (coaching and players), Veteran Guard play… Their core 3 guards have played for multiple years.  And, trickling in some additions the past couple of years that have helped tremendously.

If whoever taught Baker to shoot could work that magic on the rest of the team they’d be astounding.  He’s over 50% on his three pointers.

Very talented shooter from 3 for sure!

Do you think Somerset Christian will be like Danville Christian and bring in players that are 6'10 in the future?

Yes I would think so.  They remind me of 2020 DCA right now.  No reason for them not too.
