There have been some stellar play from some Freshman to start the season.  I wanted to highlight a few that I've noticed: 

• Graham Dominion, DCA- He has stepped in for the Warriors without regular PG. Titus Boyd.  I watched him vs. Garrard Co. closely, and he plays with a good pace and edge.  Not a great scorer, but was getting his teammates involved and making the right play.  
• Tyson Duke, East Jessamine- He has long been heralded as a special talent.  He has got off to a solid start (5 PPG).  As he matures, he will be a talented scoring guard in the region.
• Brock Stevens, Somerset-  His older brother led Southwestern to their last regional title in 2018.  Brock is cut from the same mold.  He is off to a hot start in his career. (9 PPG, 56% FG and 57% from the 3).  He is little in stature, but plays the game with an edge and has gave the Jumpers a huge boost to start the season.  

Feel free to add some more.  These three have cemented their place as rotational players who impact winning for their teams.

Just a small correction, Graham's last name is Domidion spelled with a d.  Good assessment though.  That's exactly how I'd describe his game.

So they may be taking it on the chin currently, but Casey County features freshman Evan Collins. Though only averaging 5.5 points per game, he is leading the team in rebounding with 6 per game. As noted from LethalPG's list above, star freshmen are almost always guards (unless you have D1 level talent or insane size). Handling the job in the paint as a freshman is no small task.

I didn't get to see the DCA/Garrard game but heard a lot of reports about how well Domidion played. Not a surprise as his mother was a really nice player on the early 90s Garrard County teams that won the 12th Region once and two All "A" Classics. He also has two uncles that were both very good players at Garrard, with one in the top 25 all-time scorers.

That’s interesting.  Thanks for the info!

I know in the past Pulaski, Lincoln, and Wayne seem to have very good middle school programs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had some  talented freshmen who are just having to sit behind some older guys.

Wayne Co. has a few that has been playing.  Lincoln Co. only playing 6 guys, so maybe not a good class.  Pulaski Co. is deep with upper classmen, so you're probably right there.

Danville has a nice Freshman in Cameron Peters.

I looked into their rosters.. Tanner Absher (9 points in blowout win vs Casey?), Blake Fraley and Connor Blevins are the ones on the KHSAA roster- Wayne mostly all 10th/11th graders.

Cayleb Rice from Wayne is a freshman and one of the first ones off the bench for them. Plays good defense and can get hot from the field (last year in middle school play). I think he'll get better as he feels more comfortable at the varsity level and as Wayne (hopefully) gels a little more as the season progresses.
