I agree. But whoever they play in the Finals will be a good Football team, they will be sharpened up by then.

We are going to week 13. Teams need to be sharp already.

I believe Mayfield can play much better than they did at Murray. Not sure they can beat OC  but can test them.

I agree. I’ve learned over the years not to count out Mayfield. The athletes are there but the experience is where OC pulls away from the cardinals this year.

OC won’t see Mayfield/Beechwood/LCA until the final

The way it should be.

Beechwood, LCA or Meyfield will all test them!

In some ways I believe getting to the Finals will be a win for the Cardinals. Next year should be a good season for Mayfield.

Mayfield has a good year every year even if they don’t win the title.

It was a great game for OCath. I am not downgrading any teams that Murray has played, but I honestly don’t think they have been smacked in the mouth like they did last night. The coach from Murray ran onto the field on one hit and got a unsportsmanlike called.  Catholic came out and got under their skin with their hitting.

No doubt OC was the best team Murray has played this year but no sure about the smack in the mouth comment but that was a possible targeting call that wasn't called and the coach and fans was very upset which was reasonable especially for the safetyof the players..It was a little chippy all night with some hard hitting by both.  If you make that call and put Murray in the redzone and possibly score then its 28 to 14 OC at half and Murray get ball starting second half...OC is really good and passing game challenges a defense and sprinkle in a decent running game..a team such as Beechwood with speed and challenging vertical passing game could give OC some trouble as Murray at times passed well on OC but otherwise OC is still the favorite in 2A...OC may have needed that challenge moving forward as that maybe it until state...

I’ve watched it to and I don’t see how that was targeting. He hit him with his shoulder pad square up. I definitely don’t want kids to get hurt and that’s not what I was getting at.

I know you wasn't saying that...I was just saying that's why the coach and fans were  upset and I do wish the refs understood maybe the coach had a good reason to be upset and don't throw a flag at all...yes that is a judgment call as it was bang bang hit...

That was a MONSTER of a hit by Crowe.

As far as that hit, I have seen that called both ways and with the way the game is worried about head injuries I can see why it could have gone the other way. The issue is the coach was given an opportunity to step back and was very aggressive towards that official. He was probably 5-10 yards out on the field giving him the business. We hear every week about official shortages and officials not wanting to get disrespected when they are out there. As a coach you should absolutely protect your player but doing what he did should and will get a flag every time.
