Sometimes when evenly matched teams compete, the confidence of the traditional power wins out. Believing you will win, especially in the fourth quarter of a tight game, is enough to impose your will and bring home the win. I feel St. Xavier is a legitimate contender for the 6A crown this season. The Tigers have just enough athletic talent to escape Union with a hard fought victory. I feel a 21-14 margin for the Tigers is about right.

True, but I also feel like Ryle could have a lot more confidence than last game. Traveling up to Louisville playing a large private school is really intimidating. The fact that they hung and felt like it was a very winnable game could give them ‘juice’ for this rematch. I’m seeing a tight game and hopefully Ryle can come through.

St. X got running clock on SK with 2:50 in 3Q so some of that was against the reserves. Ryle has a good defense, but the St. X offense is better than Ryle's. Should be good game though where either team can win.

I watched the game I was talking about the first half. SK was passing on the starters.

Although I am not necessarily more impressed with Ryle I do agree with MC44 that Ryle shut Simon down and St. X allowed Simon to compete just a bit. 

I still haven't made up my mind in this game and either way it will be a guess.  These are two great teams and I wish they were not meeting in the 2nd round. 

Ryle should win. They should feel really good about the adjustments they made in the second half of the first game. 

If Savage can get some yards and move the chains along with a great game from Dillon Smith. I look for the Raiders to cruise!
