In the last district game for both teams, Danville (0-8, 0-2) heads to Breathitt County (3-5, 1-1) this Friday night.  Breathitt is aiming for the district's #2 playoff seed while Danville is looking to avoid their winless streak running to 20 games.

Last week Danville lost a ground and pound game to Somerset 42-10.  The 10 points put up by the Ads were the most in a game this season but Danville still has the lowest offensive output in 2A at only 26 points scored on the season.  A positive for the Ads was that they avoided the costly penalties that have hurt them in other games.  Still, it wasn't enough to avoid a running clock.

Breathitt broke a two-game losing streak last week, going on the road and smashing Leslie County 55-21.  Freshman Eli Thomas and junior Jayden Gibson each had three rushing touchdowns.

According to calpreps, Breathitt has a 98% chance of winning with an anticipated score of 48-10.

Who do you have?

Can't imagine Danville scores 10.  

Seeing what Breathitt did to Leslie it doesn’t bode well for the Ads.  The ship continues its downward spiral and this is the last chance for a win, but I just don’t see it.

It's sad what Danville has become. Bus drive will last longer than the game.

I know that there’s obviously been a lot of changes at Danville that haven’t been for good, but it’s still wild for me to think about them being winless since their last full season to this point.

1st & 10 - Jayden Gibson (jr.) runs for 4 yards.

2nd & 6 - Eli Thomas (fr.) runs for 6 yards.  FIRST DOWN.

1st & 10 - No huddle for Breathitt.  Ads jump offsides.

1st & 5 - Miles Hollon (fr.) throws to Austin Sperry (sr.) for a 38-yard TOUCHDOWN pass.  Marquis Elmore (so.) is out tonight for the Ads in the backfield and it hurts them.  Only takes Breathitt 1:12 to score.

Extra point is......GOOD.

Breathitt seems to have quite a few people there based on the radio broadcast.  Lots of noise and there is a lot of music.  Sounds like Mardi Gras.

Admirals first drive

1st & 10 - Naythan Doyle (fr.) throws a quick pass to Gavin Walker (jr.) for 4 yards.

2nd & 6 - Toss to K.J. Dismeaux leads to a 3 yard loss as the Bobcats swallow him up in the backfield.

3rd & 9 - Bobcats rush but Doyle hooks up with Walker for a 6 yard gain.

4th & 3 - Ads decide to go for it.  Doyle throws to a wide open Trinden Sellers (so.) but it goes through Sellers hands.  TURNOVER ON DOWNS.  Breathitt gets the ball on the Ads 42.

Bobcats second drive

1st & 10 - Gibson goes nowhere on a run. 

2nd & 10 - Thomas rushes for 9 yards.

3rd & 1 - (7:41 left in Q1) Thomas runs up the middle and bounces outside to rush for 7 yards.  FIRST DOWN.

1st & 10 - Breathitt continues the up tempo.  Gibson runs over some Ads defenders for an 11 yard gain to the Ads 16.  FIRST DOWN.

1st & 10 - Breathitt flagged for a false start.

1st & 15 - Hollon throws to Gibson for a 6 yard gain.

2nd & 9 - Impressive run by Thomas who looks to be heading out of bounds, stops, and cuts back inside to run to the house for a TOUCHDOWN.
