Leslie County will travel to The Briar Patch this Friday for the final district game of the season. Leslie is coming off a hard loss to Breathitt last week and Somerset with a runaway game against Danville. This will also be senior night for the Briar Jumpers. What can we expect?

Somerset should win by at least 3 scores and will win the district with a 3-0 record.

From what I have seen, Collett is having a nice senior season and both teams come in with identical records, but the blowout loss to Breathitt is alarming considering the Jumpers handled the Bobcats. Can't always play the common opponents game with football, but I do expect a Jumpers victory. The front seven should apply enough pressure to help out the suspect back end, however I do expect Collett to hit a few big gainers through the air. Kris Hughes and company should find holes to run through all evening behind the Purple and Gold Wall.

 

Prediction: Somerset wins 41-21

Spot on. I expected Leslie to hang in there with Breathitt - that game really took me by surprise. Leslie has a few weapons we can't overlook, but the Jumpers should run away with this one.

Looks like the final district standings will end up as 1-Somerset, 2-Breathitt, 3-Leslie, 4-Danville

How did Somerset get the ball back after the missed FG? I missed it.

Leslie fumbled again on their first play. 

I'm keeping the scoreboard, so I can't update very often lol.  Running clock in the 2nd half coming up.  Leslie County's starting quarterback was ejected after giving up a fumble that was returned for a Somerset touchdown.
