"The team said it gave the fans' Game 5 tickets to an ill child and his family who were unable to attend a kids-only news conference at the ballpark in September to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month."

Great move by the Yankees.   Won't make me root for them, but still, a classy move to make up for a couple of classless fans.

Freeman just flew out but he looks so in command at the plate.

Hopefully he gets another HR tonight.

0-0

2-0 Yankees.

Fully expect the Yankees to win tomorrow as well.

So far you are right, 4-0 Yankees in the 3rd.

Holy Cow, 5-5 in the 5th!

I cannot believe Aaron Boone has sat in that dugout and hasn't walked out to talk to his pitcher. Terrible.

After that failure to cover first, Boone should have gone to the mound. Then after the game tying double, he definitely should have been out there. I think Cole threw 40 pitches that inning.

Did they say he spent 17 minutes out there on the mound alone?

Dodgers have the bases loaded and no one out in the top of the 8th trailing just 5-4.

6-6

Amazing the Dodgers come all the way back from being down 5-0 to now lead 7-6 on two sac flies after two singles a walk a sac fly then a rare catcher interference on Ohtani and another sac fly. The Yankees will have their shot in the bottom of the 8th with Soto, Judge, and Chisholm. If any reaches, then Stanton.

The Yankees get two on with 1 out but could not score with their big guns barring any surprises it is looking like a Dodgers World Series.

Now another silly Yankee mistake that cannot happen Weaver the Yankee reliever just threw over to first for a 3rd time which is like a balk and the runner in awarded 2dn base with one out.

Yeah, that had no chance of getting him out.  Smoltz mentioned that he was drained, I guess it started to get to him mentally as well.  And he is the best reliever in the Yankee pen. If NY wins this game, they will earn it.

Dodgers win the World Series in 5 games over the New York Yankees 7-6. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers! Also congratulations to the Lexington native Walker Buehler!

Guessing the Yanks have a new manager next season.  I mean Booney didn't commit the errors down the stretch, but sitting there watching the Dodgers comeback from a 5-0 deficit and not doing much about it won't sit well.  Especially when Cashman's job is on the line as well.
