Franklin comes off of their lowest offensive scoring output on the year with a 1-0 forfeit win over Shelby County. The Franklin O did just enough to get the job done. The Flyers are undefeated and lean heavily on Christian Moore and Jayquan Crawford along with their defense.

The Mustangs are 4-1 and actually play a game today against Henry County at 6. They have a short turn around to rest up and get ready for Franklin. North Oldham is pretty balanced on the year with 119 passes and 120 rushes. They just picked up a 3 star safety from Moeller but I doubt he will be ruled eligible before this one.

Does Franklin stay undefeated? How does the short week effect North Oldham?

Maybe more competitive than last year - that's not saying much as FC won both meetings a combined 118-13 - but the Flyers should still be comfortably ahead from the second quarter onward. South Oldham's o-line dictated the line of scrimmage against North. I look for the same from the Flyers.

I really like what Coach Roberts is doing in North Oldham. BUT the Mustangs are built for what Franklin County has unfortunately. The Flyers are physical on both sides of the ball. This is something I credit Coach James for. The play with attitude and purpose. Flyers continue their winning ways.

This will dictate the winner of District 4.  District 4 has some tough competition this year, but I don't see any teams stepping up against FC and NO.  Coach James has made FC an absolute force in class 4A and yearly contenders to make deep runs.  Coach Roberts has turned the corner with NO and has that team firing on all cylinders.  I think this game will be much closer than anyone anticipates it being.  Expect a few home-run plays from both sides and a very physical matchup.  I'm a sucker for good football and a good underdog story...Give me North in a close one.
