Week 2 Somerset will travel to Russell County.

Somerset pulled off a 48-7 win over Perry Co. Central on their opening game at the Briar Patch while Russell County fell to Adair County 22-16.

Think this one is similar to the Adair game for the Lakers, will be overmatched but I don't think they will get blown out. This isn't the RC of the past 10 years when the talent level was extremely poor and compared to that time period, this RC team has some really nice pieces. Also, if I recall, RC didn't have its QB in the Somerset game last year and he is arguably their best player. He kept several drives alive last week against the Indians on pure athleticism.

I am out of town this week so don't have much information on this one. LCS will be in good hands with Adam and Robert on the call. Thanks Jumper Dad for posting the link. Somerst's O-line performed well against a young PCC front.  Can they continue this week.

Russell Co. had this game won a season ago, and the Jumpers hit a Hail Mary for the win.  I expect the Jumpers not to overlook the Lakers, and take care of business.

Lightning delay on the first drive of the game.

7 all late in 2nd qtr, after a near 2 hour lightning delay.

The last 15 seconds were a mess, ending with an incomplete pass in the endzone. 

It be Somerset ball coming out in the 2nd half.
