South Oldham takes the long trip to Anderson in Cincinnati. South Oldham is lead by 6'8 375 pound lineman Senior Mathew Wellls.

Anderson is loaded this year with play makers that have D1 offers. They also have Boone County transfer RB/LB Braxton Graves 6'1 195 and 6A leading rusher Simon Kenton transfer Durrell Turner 5'7 170.  This should be an exciting game.

Look I’m a South Oldham guy and they are definitely better this season vs last season. But Anderson is a very very good football team so I would be shocked if Anderson didn’t win.

To piggy back off that I think this game is probably decided early. Anderson wins games by putting up a lot of points. So South Oldham is gonna have to figure out their offense really quick in order to stay in the game.

Anderson by a LOT.  Their offense is too good and their no huddle is too fast for anyone to replicate in practice.  It's not unusual for them to run over 80 offensive play in a game.

I believe Anderson was put on the schedule by previous Head Coach Jamie Reed just before he resigned. Admittedly Coach Reed liked to play a really tough opponent week 1 and take some lumps to start the season but Anderson is on a different level. It is definitely a question mark when you could probably schedule a tough team from Louisville like a Manual or Ballard and it would probably be closer than against Anderson.

Based on the cal preps preview the only saving grace for South Oldham could be the D line vs O line matchup although like mentioned above that no huddle offense is an easy way to work around it.

I do pull for the Dragons and wish them well. This is scrimmage/game three to start the season of very tough competition. From what I’ve seen so far the Dragon’s are going to struggle to score points in this game. But they will improve from it!

I graduated from Anderson so I will be pulling for them. I was up there about two weeks ago and went by the old school, nice school with great facility's.

I may have asked you this before but if Anderson was playing Mayfield which team would you be pulling for?

Well since my father and son both played for Mayfield and I was born in Mayfield, I would say Mayfield. I only lived in Cincinnati for 6 years. I have very fond memories of Cincy and had my growing up years there (14-20). I remember back when in I was there (the 70's) Mayfield would have waxed Anderson but I think the tables have turned, Anderson would beat them now. A side note, I played basketball and graduated with Richard Dotson a pitcher for the White Sox, a great athlete.
