We are a week away from the first game of the season. Dixie looked pretty impressive in both of there scrimmages lead by Gregg and Anderson. Simon Kenton will be lead by Brady Lee at QB, Running back Oglesby and wide receivers Weaver and Harris will lead the Pioneers. Their oline averages well over 260 pounds. The Pioneers defense is lead by Bohns, Schoborg, Ober and Brown  at linebacker and Blair at safety. It should be a great game!

Hoping for a better year by the Colonels.  I'm interested to see what the QB decision will be.... Gregg or Fields.  I know the Colonels lost quite a few seniors last year, especially those up front.  They also lost their DC (Good Riddance).  Hopefully they fast, physical, and more disciplined.  Hopefully the coaching staff can stay out of their own way because there's definitely talent in the pipeline coming up.

Coach Lucas’s Pioneers year after year have moved the ball against almost everyone.  The defensive side has regularly been another story.  This game might give fans whip-lash watching this high scoring track meet.

I agree on this and some other past post's about SK's ability to move the ball. If they can come up with a couple crucial stops on D when the time is right then they should be able to keep the gap at a couple TD's. I see SK jumping out early but the defense having a long night. Lucas' defense's have always been skeptical tho (even tho he isn't calling the D, weak defense's have followed him around). If they let Dixie consistently get loose on O tho then they are going to have problems Dixie has some dudes that can run with the ball in their hands in the open field. 35-22.

I think the defense will be fine. They have been playing pretty good. Last night was a wash since they couldn't have any contact with O'Hara.

Any clue who is handling some of SK's kicking duties? I know they have freshman Mo Smith who can really bomb it. Caught some Turkeyfoot games when he was in the 7th and 8th grade and he was smashing the ball everytime but it still could be hard for him to see the field this year depending who they have kicker wise. Soccer was his main sport up until about the 7th grade. Also saw him with SK's JV and Varsity at some of their 7v7's. Any clue if he may see the field kicking or another position? He is blessed as a freak of an athlete and blessed with a great body frame but still has alot of polishing up to do with football coming kind of late to him. He will be fun to watch over the years.

I can only laugh. O’Hara was only off limits if he was in the pocket and if he would have been closed to being sacked the whistle would have blown the play dead. If he took off running he was definitely live which he did once and slid after a 10 yard run. I think the Cooper line held up pretty well since he was not sacked once and the couple of times he had pressure he showed excellent escapability. How about we paint the right picture because going 24/30 for 330 yards and 4 TDs wasn’t by accident..just saying.

Love the size trumps all guys.

I haven't seen Dixie so I can't speak to anything but their scrimmage results. I'd be shocked if they don't win this game.
