His ERA after his start on June 2nd was 9.51.

Since then he has made 5 starts.

In those 5 starts, he is 4-1, has 33 innings pitched, 8 hits, 2 runs(both earned), 10 walks and 41 strikeouts.  That's a 0.55 ERA and 0.545 WHIP.

I knew he had to be really bad at the start to me. To me the big stat was going into last night he had started 201 games over 8+ seasons had never went past 7 2/3 innings in any game.

Abbott vs Harrison Greene vs Snell Spiers vs Hicks I think the Reds can get 2 of 3 looking at those pitching matchups.

Reds are trailing the Giants 2-0 after 3 innings the start of the game was delayed by rain. The Reds have yet to get a hit in 3 at bats and amazingly 5 of their 9 outs so far have been strikeouts. Bla

Reds led 1-0 after 2 1/2 innings and after 3 innings Green currently has a no-hitter going for the Reds. The Reds run came on a Stephenson solo homer.

India hits a massive solo homer to put the Reds up now 2-0. The Reds have 2 runs on 2 hits.

Reds pickup 4 more runs on 4 more hits including 2 more homers a 3 run shot by Stephenson on his 2nd homer of the night and a solo shot by Fairchild to put the Reds up 6-0 after 4 1/2 innings.

Wilson comes in for Green in the top of the 7th and gives up a double that was stretched into a run after two errors by Friedl and a throwing error by Elly gives them a run then a solo homer by Comforto. Reds led 6-2 now after 6 1/2 innings.

I haven’t really posted anything on the Reds this year. However, I still believe the Reds are in this thing and could make a run for the playoffs. Currently the Reds are the only team in baseball that has a positive run plus differential that doesn’t have a winning record. Usually when a team has a plus 32 run differential like the Reds they above .500. At some point if the Reds continue that, that things will eventually even out and we see them go on a nice run that gets them above 500 and right into the thick of things.

Reds even the series and set up a big game tomorrow with a 6-4 win and another great outing by Greene.

This team may be in contention if they had not wasted all those great Hunter outings to start the year.

Reds trailed just 3-2 heading into the top of the 8th inning but Moll and Cruz both have gave up a run and now they trail in this key game 5-2 with one out in the top of the 8th.

Reds relievers give up 3 more runs and they now trail 8-2 headed to the bottom of the 8th.

Reds fall today 8-2 and are now 53-58  and are now 6 games out of the last wild card spot and again in last place in the central.

In 5 starts before the one yesterday Hunter had a 0.57 era in those 5 games and won 2 of them!!!!!  We just stink, no-hit Friday, 4 hits today, whew!!

Guess the experts were correct during off-season.  This team is a mediocre below 500 club and I don't really see that improving.  I'd love my post to be proven wrong but....
