Adults ruin youth sports more often than not.

I have a good friend who coached a long time. He told me one of his hopes for every season was to know as few parents of his players as possible.

Another long time coach held a team meeting with players and parents at the start of the season. He told everyone there if there were any questions or issues, he did not want to hear from a parent. He wanted the player to come talk to him.
