UConn 86 Alabama 72 (NCAA Final 4)

Final. Bama kept it closer than anyone had so far but UConn is just too good. They will take on Purdue on Monday night at 9:20pm for the National Championship.

1997 Kentucky is only defending champ to make it back and lose the final since 1963 (when Cincy lost in their attempt to three peat). History and current play are definitely on UConn’s side.

UConn is just good in so many ways. Alabama played a hell of a tournament and played the Huskies far better than many expected and gave UConn their toughest test between this tournament and last year’s tournament. The game was much better than the final score indicated if you didn’t watch. UConn has many ways to win for sure.

For those of us that see Alabama play several times a year and impressive stat in this game and a testament to UConn is that they allowed Alabama 0 fastbreak points for the game.

That’s because everyone on Bama’s break opportunities stop at the three point line and look to launch.
