January 24, 200719 yr Bama under Gottfried has been historically a bad road team. Right now, their best player in Ronald Steele has been playing with a bad ankle. It all starts with him at both ends. They have not been good on the defensive side of the ball. Stelle turned his ankle in the Notre Dame game, and hurt it pretty significantly. Gottfried should have rested him for a week or two, because their schedule after that gaem was rather light. He has him trying ot play through it and it has hurt them. But you do have to question Bama's guts. Couldn't agree more. 'Bama will be OK as the season wears on, and should remain in the rankings through the end of the season.

January 24, 200719 yr Mark Gottfried(sp?) is the worst coach in the SEC....That is all. I agree. Every year it seems the Tide jumps out of the gate kicking butt, are highly ranked (one year I believe they were # 1 at one time), and then fold. I'm not at all impressed with their coach.

January 24, 200719 yr The SEC West is 0-15 on the road in conference play. So it is not just Bama who struggles on the road, but I agree Bama does seem to have the most problems.
January 24, 200719 yr The SEC seems to be very unpredictable this year... It's not just the sec lots of ranked teams are losing to unranked teams this year.:eek:
January 26, 200719 yr In several of their loses they were down by a huge amount in the early stages of the game, against the warbuzzards the second half was like the beginning of the other games. Might play the Cats/Cards in the NIT.
