Boyle comes into this game riding a 7 game winning streak and looks to avenge a lost to DCA back in December 44-33.  DCA is looking to win their 5 in a row and keep their undefeated recorded in the 45th district alive.  DCA will be the #1 seed in the tournament while Boyle is trying to stay #2.  Boyle is starting to play their best ball at the right time.  Thoughts on the game tonight.

Saw on twitter that DCA has the 6'10" kid eligible for tonight. 

DCA is also undefeated in regional play.

I've heard mixed reviews on his effectiveness in some FR/JV games.  It will be interested to see if they will play the two together.  

Boyle really struggled to score at the rim in game 1.  It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.  I think DCA wins a closer one this time around.

He's a sophomore so he's not played in any Freshman games.  In the JV games the other teams have built a fence around him and for some strange reason the rest of the DCA kids have hesitated in shooting from outside.  In the recent JV tournament against Boyle he had most of DCA's points.  Boyle played a 2-3 zone the entire time and sagged on him.  He's definitely got a lot of potential, he's mobile for a 6-10 sophomore and passes and shoots well.

Only 1 of those 7 wins have been against a decent team (Lincoln).  There were 2 against Garrard, 2 against Danville, and 1 against a sub-.500 Pleasure Ridge Park.  They are definitely playing better but it's difficult to tell how much better.  They may be able to beat DCA tonight but if DCA plays anything like they did in stretches against Washington County it's not likely.  In that game it looked like things were starting to click for them.

I expect DCA to win this one. I think it’ll take a strong shooting night from three for Boyle to have a chance. Quite a bit north of their 30% mark for the season, which is certainly possible. Also, Boyle thrives against teams with weak back courts and that’s not DCA.
 

A series definitely goes to DCA, but Boyle has enough talent to beat DCA on a given night.

DCA defense is tough, and I thought the 2nd big fit in well with their group.  Boyle competed hard, but really didn’t get many quality looks.  A ton of tough contested jumpers.  

The new big man for DCA is better than the older one. He had 6 points 16 rebs in his varsity debut. If you don't have outside shooting you might as well forget about beating DCA. 

The atmosphere was electric tonight, it felt like the District tournament. 

I see a trip to Rupp in DCA’s future.
