January 24, 200719 yr Author Man can't let your guard down for a second on here.
January 24, 200719 yr The Celts have been down for more than a couple of years, yes they've made the playoffs here and there but they've been a mess since Larry the Legend left town. They were 2 games under .500 at full strength, so injuries aren't the reason either.
January 24, 200719 yr Sure injures aren't the reason they're below .500, but to say they're an embarassment to the league because of that is silly. There's lots of teams hovering around or below .500... Are they ALL an embarassment? Danny Ainge has drafted a lot of young guys in the first round in the past few years... Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Kendrick Perkins straight out of high school. I won't give up on them, there's a lot of potential on the team and I'll wait to see how they develop. Injuries aren't the reason they're below .500, but it's certainly a reason that they are doing as bad as they have been. They'll have a good draft pick this year and that will give them leverage... Everyone wants their hands on Oden or Durant, and it looks like they'll be in a position to get one of them (pending they leave).

Big Al's been on a tear lately and Bellalum's man crush on him grows bigger daily. What Durant is to GT, AJ is to Bellalum.
January 24, 200719 yr At some point they have to look at getting rid of Pierce IMO. I agree... He's not the guy who is going to lead the team for the long haul and they're wasting him. Might as well get rid of him while he has some value to them... And that's hard to say as I've been a Celtics fan for a long time, and Paul has been one of my favorite players for years... I always think of the Celtics/Nets eastern conference finals game a few years back where Walker and Pierce led the big comeback to win the game... They weren't what I considered a contender back then, but I was extremely upset when they broke up the duo. When Walker got traded back to the C's, it just wasn't the same.
January 24, 200719 yr At some point they have to look at getting rid of Pierce IMO. I agree 100% AI was in the same situation (Great player, sucky team) Garnett also needs to get out of Minnesota IMO (Great player, sucky team)

January 24, 200719 yr They just got a new coach, I see him being gone by the start of next year. Hope so...I would just like to see him on a winning team to start out the second part of his career.
January 24, 200719 yr Hope so...I would just like to see him on a winning team to start out the second part of his career. I know a team that is just 1 piece away from being a legit contender. :sssh: They have been rumored to get him for the last 2 or 3 years. Hopefully they will finally pull the trigger.

January 24, 200719 yr I hope Rondo the best, but as long as Delonte West is still in B Town Green he will be behind him no matter if its ten years from now. West and college pal Jameer Nelson are for real, probably one of the best college basketball backcourts of all time. Im just glad Rajon has finally surpased Telfair in something, Bassy has really haunted Rondo the past 4 years or so.
January 25, 200719 yr Big Al's been on a tear lately and Bellalum's man crush on him grows bigger daily. What Durant is to GT, AJ is to Bellalum. Don't know if its that bad. But the kid is going to be a beast. All he needed was the minutes.
February 4, 200719 yr It was a matter of time before Rondo passed up Telafair. The Celtics are entering the Oden/Durant sweepstakes. That could change them in a hurry.
