Exactly.  He's losing minutes as the season progresses, which is what should be happening.  Who starts and who doesn't start is silly to me.  Sheppard is getting a starter's minutes.  Him, Wagner, Mitchell, & Reeves are going to play at least 65-70% of the time.

Billy Clyde always started Coury and once he went out, it seems he seldom came back in until the second half started.

This is so true, but hard for people to recognize because of how fun this team is to watch.  They are offensively the most proficient team we've seen since I don't know when.  There's a tremendous amount of overall talent and the kids seem to genuinely enjoy each other.  They look to be having a lot of fun.

But man...the defense is atrocious at times.  Giving up 96 to Georgia is pretty embarrassing, especially with 60+ points coming in the second half.  

UK is going to be a sexy pick for a lot of people when the NCAA Tournament comes around.  But I just don't see them as a Final Four team.  At least not as they stand right now.

We aren’t sure yet about the stats because there hasn’t been any platooning yet!!

Kentucky's defense is definitely awful at times. I think it's probably going to bite us when it matters most too. I do think teams will almost always consistently score more than their average again us because of the faster pace and more possessions.

I keep hoping, especially now that we have our three 7 footers, that we will get better at guarding on the perimeter since we have some shot blockers to help protect things around the rim more. Fingers crossed but either way, they'll never be great defensively. Just need to be good enough.

What they are doing now is basically platooning. The only player going more than 30 minutes is Mitchell. Reeves is at 30 minutes. Almost everyone else is in the 20-27 minute range. There are 8 players averaging 20 minutes or more. The only difference with a straight platoon would be 5 guys at a time coming in instead of 2 or 3.

The biggest challenge in a platoon would be Mitchell losing minutes. That would not be good. I don't see Cal going to a straight platoon.
