Final a tough loss on the road for the Cats vs. a team that played very well today. The rebounding was the difference by far today!

Mitchell has won us some games but he sure looked terrible today.

Wagner fumbling the ball in what should have bee. The last real possession of regulation is going to irritate me the rest of the day.

Nice to see some big minutes from Onyenso.

No clue why Cal went back to Bradshaw in OT after he hadn't done anything all day. Fresh legs but not a fresh mind. Didn't like that.

Our guards have to improve our on-ball defense and play the ball screens better to make a deep run into the tournament. A&M's two guards scored a combined 59 today and they combined for 22 at Auburn and 34 at home vs. LSU both were losses. In Texas A&M's two league games they scored 53 and 55 and scored 87 today in regulation and 10 in OT. Our defense has to improve!

The goaltending thing in the first half irritates me too. Review it immediately or not at all.

That offensive foul call on Radford as he made the 3 was a garbage call, even though it favored UK.

Wagner with the butterfingers down the stretch should linger with him tonight. He had a solid game going and then just checks out with the ball in Kentucky's hands and the game tied.  That was basically the end of the game, Kentucky never recovered from that.

I was ok with that move. Onyenso needed to sit. He was drained at that point. Zonimir would have been a big help today. Thiero would have helped. Bradshaw can't hold his space against these physical teams.

Right now, that is the game plan against UK. Get physical. Muck it up. Boys against men in some ways from a strength and physical maturity standpoint.

As soon as they said, "when they go back and review it they'll take the points off the board", I only saw red.  Kentucky essentially gets penalized a possession for a bad call by the officials.  That rule needs more work.

Which is why I keep harping on how much UK is missing Thiero in these SEC games.  Thiero won't get pushed around like Edward's and some of the guards.  

Meanwhile Thiero has no timetable,  due to "general soreness".

This was definitely a Thiero type game. He would've helped against Radford and rebounding.

UK always seems to have one guy with a mysterious injury throughout a large chunk of the season. I guess Thiero drew that straw this year.

And it's not just one or two, it's everyone.  For as much credit as Wagner gets for his defense, he let's people dribble right by him every game.  

Texas A&M and UK rosters are opposite ends of the spectrum. UK is a bunch of young kids still growing up. A&M is a group of men that have matured and bulked up in years of college lifting.

I am not putting all that on the guards. Our big men need to hedge off the top of the key screen while the guard goes over the screen to stop the 3 pointer. Onyenso did an excellent job of that today. Mitchell was pretty good at it. I like how Dillingham was jumping up at the guard to negate the screen but he didn't stay fundamental enough in his positioning after he did that. I think our big men were fatigued the last part of the game and that let A&M's guards get going.

It looked to me on the offensive foul that the ball had already left the shooter's hand and was in the air so to speak.   If so, IMO that would not make it an offensive foul....maybe a loose ball foul.
