January 23, 200719 yr    I heard that he is looking at some horse farms in Lexington.
January 23, 200719 yr The Cowboys went 34-30 and 0-2 in the playoffs in Parcells' four seasons in Dallas. Parcells becomes the fourth different, but obviously the most prominent, coach to leave the Cowboys' staff this off-season. Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and special teams coach Bruce DeHaven both took similar positions with Atlanta and Seattle, respectively. Offensive quality control coach David Lee is now the offensive coordinator at Arkansas. http://www.dallascowboys.com/news.cfm?id=4AD56698-A96B-4C3F-3457C5048BCA369A
January 23, 200719 yr Author The team wrecker strikes again. Do ou mean "T"erribly "O'verrated?? The NFL leader in dropped passes this season. Imo he had a very big part in it. As stike said, Parcells is old school and does not go along with catering to so called superstars and owners wanting to coach the team as well. Jones and T.O. deserve each other .
January 23, 200719 yr      Im pretty sure T.O. was the most supportive Cowboy after the heartbreaking loss to the Seahawks. San Francisco, yes. Phili, yes. Dallas, no. So don't try and make something out of nothing, T.O. is not the reason Parcells is leaving Dallas, as much as I love Bill, he just wasn't getting it done, and he knew this and didn't want to risk losing any more cred. I liked Parcells, and he is one of the all-time greats, however, as a diehard Cowboys fan I can actually say with a straight face this doesn't really bother me. I will miss the way he conducted the team, and conducted himself with the media, however, 34-32 record, 0-2 in the playoffs....Not like we are losing anything great. With numbers like that I would much rather see T.O. come back and strap up then to see Parcells come back and lead the Boys' into another average season if something like that was to have boiled down. His offense was simple, and I think with all the talent to utilize on the offensive side, the Cowboys may have more to look forward to with a fresh face. I don't see this as a hit to the franchise, considering we all knew Parcells was in his last years. I see this as a positive for the future in that we can bring in a coach with hopefully a lot of longevity ahead of him in Big D. Interesting that you thought I was talking about TO. Maybe it is because he played for the 49ers and the team fell apart. or maybe it was because he played for the Eagles and the team fell apart. or possible it is because he is now playing for the Cowboys and the team is falling apart (which Chris Colinsworth said would happen the day the Cowboys singed TO). Just kidding I was talking about TO. He has wrecked every team he has played for. And he will continue to wreck the Cowboys. The Cowboys will suffer as long as he is there. I like Parcels, but I did not root for the Cowboys all year, and I will not root for any team on which TO plays. He gives his team and the league a black eye every time he walks on the field. He makes the game a circus.

That is the one of which I speak. Don't you agree that is always funny when he cries because they only throw the ball to him 8 times in a game, then the ball hits him in the hands and he looks so pitiful.

January 23, 200719 yr McNabb was just as much of the problem as TO in Philadelphia. Even this year the Eagles were better once McNabb's season ended.

Parcells retires, which he barely came back last year, and most thought this would be his last year no matter what. The same thing happened this time last season and he agreed to come back (many thinking it was his final season), but somehow T.O. is to blame. I could see it if he was on fresh legs and still had the desire to coach, but seriously, Bill Parcells hang it up due to one player???? Trust me, Bill can handle one player, and if not then the player wouldn't be there, see Mike Vandermiss. But thats not even really the thing that sticks out to me about your post. The "team wrecker" quote does. How is the team wrecked? So what our coach retired after a very long career, I'm assuming the Steelers are also wrecked since their coach did the same. Other than Parcells leaving I don't see anything that has changed in Dallas giving way to the idea of a wrecked team. IMO with a offensive minded coach, signing of another Safety or Corner (preferably signing Nate Clements and moving Henry to FS, or signing Clements, using Henry as a NB, and signing a FS) the Cowboys could be better next season. But if you show me how they are wrecked then I will be the first to stand up and admit I am wrong, I just don't see a wrecked team right now. I just see a coach stepping down who is 32-30 and 0-2 in the playoffs leaving a very talented team for someone to come in and ressurect, so from a Cowboys fan, nothing to look forward too, certainly not wrecked.

I'd say they ARE wrecked.....if their "die hard" fans are using LT and the Chargers as their avatar.....

Whats wrong with giving my favorite NFL player some love? I'm guessing by you being shocked that my avatar differs from my favorite team you never miss an episode of the Simpsons?:sssh:

I'm not trying to bad mouth your team. And I mean no disrespect (I just do not like TO as a football player). I will even give you something to laugh about: I am a die hard Green Bay fan, after the last two seasons that should give you at least a smile.

I will even give you something to laugh about: I am a die hard Green Bay fan, after the last two seasons that should give you at least a smile. I know your not bad mouthing, its I don't think the team will fall apart as you seem to think they will, but then again I could be wrong. You insinuated T.O. wrecked the team, when all that has happened so far is Parcells retired, which he has been thinking about since even last season. I see the team only getting better instead of dismantling, but like said you may end up being right. On a side note Ive been a lifelong Cubs fan so I won't even think about smiling at the Packers having a couple down years, plus I'm too big of a Favre fan. When you grow up living for the Cubs and Cowboys you learn to live with some dissapointing seasons with a lot of false hope in between (minus the run the Cowboys put together in the mid 90's), so like you being a Packers fan I have seen many down seasons myself.
