USC 42 Louisville 28

Featured Replies

Final score of the Holiday Bowl.

Thankfully this one is over. Was a very ugly overall team performance by Louisville tonight, especially on defense. There wasn’t any excuses to give up six passing touchdowns to USC, was almost like the secondary made no effort practically all night. Without Guerendo running the ball, this might have been a shutout, he was the only bright spot for Louisville tonight.

And good riddance to Plummer, I won’t miss him in any way. Their last drive close to scoring was the story of Louisville football offensively all season., which is make Plummer beat you. I seriously believe if they had a little of a better quarterback that they may have not lost more than a game on the season.

No more to watch with Louisville for me until next football season.

That result doesn't help FSU's case to be in the playoff.

I agree but I still believe they should have been selected. They would have clearly been the weakest team, especially without their starting quarterback, but I still think they deserved to go.

I thought the 3rd quarter pick might swing momentum UL's direction.  Other than that play, it was a forgettable night defensively.

I was surprised when it happened, I thought that the game was over then before it happened. But you’re completely right on the night overall.

Disappointing end to the season. Defense was abysmal the last four games, WR corp non-existent, and Jack Plummer sucks.

Looking forward to a nice long break from Louisville sports, if I'm being completely honest.

Good win for disappointing season for my Trojans. Miller Moss had a great game. Hopefully, he is the starter next year in the season opener against LSU.

Had that same feeling with UK basketball a few times the last few years.  Made me care less about it, which really has been a good thing.

I wonder if Louisville's lack of depth contributed to the late season struggles.  I feel like that happens with programs a lot.

The bolded is definitely where I am with Louisville Athletics in general.

Lack of depth and I think overall lack of talent are the main culprits. Louisville simply didn't have the team speed needed to consistently compete at a high level.

I agree completely on the team speed comment. It was really clear in last night's game that USC was faster than Louisville.

They get to make their case against Georgia on Saturday.

Based on what he showed last night I wouldn’t think there’s any reason he shouldn’t be.

I may not indicate it much, if any on here but I don’t care as much as I used to. I’m going to take your advice and do more. I’ve done it with other sports too. Having my twin daughters helped change that and my care level is getting ready to be decreasing more. Not saying I’ll never watch Louisville sports any more but my seriousness with it definitely needs to reduce more from where it’s been.
