Bengals Cap Space

If it's a CB I prefer Nate Clemons from Buffalo...

We would definatly be in better shape either way. I expect them to go after a DL or CB. Does anybody have any idea who the big name free agents out there this year are?

Hard to say at this point...

Does bail money count against the cap? If so might want to save a little bit.

Nope. But at least it was a weak try... :p

How much will AThomas go for, he could possibly knock out the DL/LB acquisiton.

Katie would have to pull off a small miracle for Thomas IMO...

Do you think one of the those 40 yard bombs while in heels would impress #96, or maybe that fem mustache she has can sway his opinion?

Samuels would be a great pickup if he continues to play the way he has of late!

Asante Samuel would be the guy I would go after the most. He is a free agent, him and Joseph would make a heck of a tandom, IMO.

Clements? I'd prefer they build through the draft if he's the best we can get.

Start Joseph & Deltha and if James is back make him the nickelback. He's too old to cover one-on-one, but his ability to catch the ball is worth keeping him around for passing situations. Draft another CB and let the rookie & Joseph be the corners in the starters in '08...

James is gone...

Buffalo DB Nate Clements once again is playing well. He held Miami's Chris Chambers without a catch last week and is set to become a free agent. Despite being snubbed in AFC Pro Bowl voting this week, Clements is playing a key role on a defense that's not allowed 300 yards passing in a game this season. Individually, he's not allowed a receiver to score on him this year. Besides shutting out Chambers in last weekend's 21-0 win, Clements limited Indianapolis star Marvin Harrison to two catches for 21 yards in Buffalo's 17-16 loss last month. Clements also has three interceptions in his past five games, including one he returned 58 yards for a touchdown in a 31-13 win at the New York Jets on Dec. 10, and he's forced two fumbles and recovered two, playing strong run support.

Go Bengals.

Samuuel played some good CB today, the Bengals could use another CB to go along with JJ and Deltha.

James leaving is no problem. I thought he was headed out, but hadn't heard anything official.

Draft another CB and let him step in like Joseph did this year. O'Neal & Joseph is a better combo than O'Neal & James. Develop the rook and let him take over when Deltha heads out of town.

Deltha, J Joe and Nate works well. Clements is an Ohio native with what could be a desire to return for less than an outrageous cap number...

I'd take it, but there are other problems on D.

I don't know what the draft has to offer in terms of linebackers, but I'd like to see someone with an attitude there for the Bengals.

If Clements wants to come back to Ohio, for a reasonable price, I'm game. I don't know that that'll happen, though.
