Are HS Athletics still amateur athletics?

Maybe rules not the best word.  I could insert finances, standard, support in there.

I agree because the KHSAA rules are the same for all schools but some schools either have or attract more support that others.

I voted yes, bc I believe (in Ky anyway) that the vast majority of schools are still purely amateur. My opinion would change if it was even 80-20.

My understanding is that NIL is being thrown open to high schoolers next year in some states. That changes everything in states with the NIL and lax transfer rules.
