Boone back up point guard....Sandlin.........Very impressive and with a bright future. I love watching this girl play. What she lacks in strength and size she makes up for with basketball savy and great court vision. Also makes very solid passes for a Frosh and her shot is developing but looks pretty good. With her and Bradley in the backcourt it will make for a lethal duo in the following years.

I think Sandfoss is right up there with Allen.

I have seen Courtney play a lot. I saw her play in the state AAU tourney year before last . She was, IMHO a top 5 in the state

Courtney is without a doubt the top freshman in this area. NCC had a down year least season which IMO was mainly due to the absence of a solid PG to feed Cundiff inside and to allow Klei to play her natural position. As stated, NCC returned their entire team and is a serious contender to win the 9th region. Pretty much only one thing has changed….Sandfoss at the point.

 

NCC/politics would not allow her to play Varsity last year, which no doubt would have made a difference in their season because she was ready to compete….

We will get to see firsthand how good she is tonight. Looking for Jacy to step up and play tough Defense while making her work at the other end trying to contain her. On paper this looks to be a good matchup with Boone's bench being the difference. Go Lady Rebels!!!

Does the Sorrell girl at Highlands get any playing time? She was outstanding in elementary school but I've lost track of her.

I think she plays some at the freshman level.

I will still take Katie Allen over Courtney Sandfoss, although I would keep Courtney on the team if given the choice. I think they handle the ball the same, Courtney maybe? a 1/2 step quicker but Katie is the better shooter. Defensively about the same also. Bottom line, both are good players and will be great players to watch the next 3 yrs as they get stronger and wiser w/each game. Both fathers' were great high school players in NKY and they will follow in their footsteps to make them even prouder than they already are!!!

I just saw both play and that was my observation along w/some others I was sitting with. So, up until now I was doing OK in your book. Now, well, that is just my opinion so let me hear what you think?

Kind of a different animal in any private school where tuition is paid, to have a person not paying tuition occupy a roster spot of a person paying tuition.

A grade school student playing Frosh is not a roster spot if there are not sufficent numbers to form a Frosh team because other Frosh are playing JV or Varsity. That is done often in small schools in other sports such as Soccer whereby grade school students are needed to fill out a JV or Frosh roster. Whole different situation to place a grade school student on a Varsity roster over a paying student. Bad karma.

AWNP...I wasn't aware of the tuition aspect of it. I got caught up in repeating what I heard (politics). I've seen 8th grade students at other private schools in NKY play on the varsity team so I assumed it was the same. Thanks for clarifying.

So, if I read this right, you are going on what someone else is telling you? At least I am going on what I, myself saw along w/others who saw the same thing. I know and enjoy watching both girls, not really picking or choosing just observing and making an opinion.

They are two very talented players, but even better young ladies. It will be fun to watch them continue to develop.
